Ndutu forms a part of the route for the annual migration of more than 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras, antelope and gazelle. During game drives at the right season between December and April, you will be able to see the fertile plains turn into calving grounds and nursery for the great migration. This tour will also cover other famous destinations: Tarangire National Park, famous for its baobab’s trees, the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Tour Plan
  • Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport to Tarangire National Park

    Our representative will meet you at the Airport and drive to Tarangire. In this national park you have an excellent opportunity for game viewing. With a game viewing area roughly ten times the size of the nearby Manyara National Park and an exceptionally high game concentration from July to October, this seasonal safari park in Tanzania is a little gem on the northern safari route. Elephants are the main attraction with up to 3,000 animals living in the park during peak months. In the high season there are also many wildebeest and zebras, as well as giraffes, buffalo, Thompson's gazelles, warthogs, larger and smaller kudu, eland, leopards and cheetahs. Tarangire is also one of the best bird watching destinations in Tanzania. in the evening you will drive straight to your accommodation Kichuguu Camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Parko

    The excitement for today will be quite high as you make your way into the most celebrated wildlife park in the world – The Serengeti. After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never-ending plain grasslands. Serengeti, means endless plains in the local African language and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is an absolutely breathtaking view.

    The Serengeti also houses the glorious “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). Along with the “Big 5”, a very pleasant sighting would be one of Africa’s most beautiful animals – The Impala. A picnic lunch will be served during the game drive. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation at Tanzania Bush Camps Central Serengeti.

  • Day 3: Serengeti National Park

    Early breakfast ready to start your full day game viewing drive, you will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards.
    The central portion of the Serengeti - known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off season of the migration, one must really look out for the many lions’ pride that thrive in this region. The interactions and survival of these lion pride provide an excellent game viewing experience all year round.

  • Day 4:Serengeti National Park to Ndutu area

    After breakfast you will depart from Ndutu area to Ngorongoro Crater floor.

    The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 square kilometers with a depth of over 2000 feet. The five-hour game drive in the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended.

    The African elephant, buffalo, black rhino, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the top exit of the crater as you proceed to your accommodation at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 5: Ndutu Area

    Stunned by the previous days spotting of the migration, today you get another chance to view the beautiful wildlife spectacle. The Ndutu region is a part of the glorious Serengeti National Park as well as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA).
    Heading out for a full day game drive after breakfast, today you will be following the migration depending on its location in either NCA or Serengeti. This season attracts hordes of predators prying on vulnerable young wildebeest. Watching the circle of life take its course will be an unforgettable experience etched for life. The action-packed game drive will end late in the evening and proceed at your accommodation Tanzania Bush Camps Ndutu Mobile Camp for Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

    An early breakfast then departs from Ndutu area to Ngorongoro and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. After the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo Lake. After lunch, we will have time for a short game drive and then ascend the crater and head to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.

  • Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Kilimanjaro Airport

    After breakfast you will depart from Ngorongoro Conversation area and drive to Arusha, you will have lunch in Arusha then be dropped at Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.
